Peterborough Opera are pleased to announce their new Musical Director, Jingle Gawley.

Pianist Jingle Gawley received her training at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and at Royal Northern College of Music. Her performing work has taken her to several of the UK’s most popular venues, including St. John’s Smith Square, the Bridgewater Hall, and the Millennium Centre to name a few. She has also accompanied singers in public masterclasses and has received coaching from renowned singers and accompanists such as Graham Johnson, Julius Drake, Roderick Williams, and Ian Burnside. Jingle is also a keen advocate of contemporary music, and enjoys collaborating with composers on new works. As part of a celebratory concert series for the composer William Bolcom’s 90th birthday, Jingle performed several of his Cabaret songs in a masterclass with the composer, and, as part of the 2018 Leeds Lieder Festival, she premiered the newly commissioned work Trapped by Claire Elton. More recent performances include Watford Octagon Music Society, Riverhouse Barn Theatre (Walton-on-Thames). As a répétiteur, Jingle has worked for OperUs (Italy), the Vienna Opera Academy (Austria), and Melofonetica (UK/Italy). Jingle currently enjoys teaching at the Stamford Endowed Schools and Oundle School.

Peterborough Opera are very much looking forward to working with Jingle, and are currently planning for an Autumn concert. We are always on the lookout for new members, so if you would like to join us, please contact us below:
