Peterborough Opera are looking for a new Musical Director.
We need an accomplished pianist to lead rehearsals, with a wide knowledge of opera, and experience in conducting staged performances.
We perform a fully staged opera every autumn, and concerts of opera and lighter music during the year.
An ability to arrange orchestrations to suit available players would be an added bonus, or you should be able to select suitable reduced orchestrations for a small orchestra. You will need to be realistic on budgets.
Our small but enthusiastic & friendly amateur society has a mix of ages and experience, and are committed to high standard, polished performances.
Rehearsals are Friday evenings. Pay is negotiable.
